Generally it's just some korean company that puts their own frame/stand on the same panel. Companies like Asus/Acer generally don't make their own panels.

i know the panels aren't made by the manufacturer of the monitor itself, it would be stupid to think otherwise.

I mean it doesn't apply to all. LG makes their own displays, pretty sure Samsung does as well. I'm just saying don't knock some korean brand because it might be the same panel that's in a swift or predator stand for half the price.

Bit point in case is the MB279QR144. $300 USD for 1440p 165hz ips panel with 3ms gtg response time, and like 99% srgb coverage. Cheapest US manufactured monitor with those specs is over 500.

have fun with warranties/returns when it inevitably has dead/stuck pixels, or other various qa issues that should have been addressed.

you already get this problem from acer asus and others

dell is only one I can think of that seems to have great quality and customer service together
