So I'm trying to craft a dagger with bloodstained fossil for a vaal storm call build. Is it possible to get shaper affixes on the dagger if I craft with only the fossil in a resonator? Or is it only possible to obtain them by exalting the dagger after fossil?

I've tried this with two daggers, however I crafted them with bloodstain + metallic and no shaper affixes appeared on the result, I don't know if that blocks the shaper affixes or not. Let me know how this works, thanks!
