IQ test should probably be called spatial and quantitative reasoning test. I think it only measures three or four traits, Doesn't measure critical thinking and problem solving ability in many ways.
And current psychology practice there are several ways to describe intelligence....fluid intelligence is your ability to learn new things, crystalized intelligence is fund of knowledge, etc.
The most important use of IQ test now is determoning if someone is mentally retarded or has borderline intellectual functioning, and not as the sole tool.
