10 is far from unpenetrable in terms of infections, and yeah, a lot of it boils down to personal habits.
I personally use 10 for the DirectX support and driver support for some of my obscure hardware, but I'm far from impressed with the functionality and security of the OS itself. Force disabled telemetry and changed my GUI to match 7.

If there was better/wider support for DX12 and other applications I use daily, I'd switch to a Linux distribution in a heartbeat.

r u sure? I got porn back to 2014 and havent had a reformat since. bought my comp (radeon 7750 and i5-3570k at 2013) (1060 3gb now)

I had windows 8.0 with my comp for years and upgraded to 10 is still going strong as fk.

never one reformat. I got the disc for 8.0 but it has a HUGE scratch on it. I called windows they said it might still be workable or I could buy a new one at $10. I never have done that yet said i'd take them up on it if so. WINDOWS 10 IS THE NEXT 8.0

Could probably just DL an installer to a USB on the windows site then use your prod key rather than replace the disc.
