nah, it's not a question of knowing what "objective french" is, it's a question that we haven't been in contact with the french world for over 400 years, and things have changed.

we over here speak an older more "preserved" french, albeit with many anglicisms added to it. Let me hook you up with the Norman Book of Matthew, our dialect has a lot of Old Norman in it, I don't like "Modern French".
