Sigh... PM me and I can either send you a flash drive with a win-10 ISO or a external CD DVD drive or even an internal one if you need that.

I've been trying a Win10 ISO and Win7 ISO from a USB and it's not working properly.

is your usb a 3.0 device? are you using it in a 2.0 slot?
I've had issues with this before.

Does the usb work on other devices? it may be corrupted.

Then you are doing something wrong...

Make sure you don't have secure boot unabled in the BIOS and legacy ROMs are enabled otherwise you won't be able to boot from a USB drive

Also make sure that your drive is bootable if you don't know how to do that use an application such as Rufus

I don't think it's a 3.0 device, as it's an older USB stick. The USB does work on my windows 10 desktop

You're right, I probably am doing something wrong. I actually had Microsoft ensure my USB was formatted appropriately and the files were bootable using Rufus. At this point I'm most likely goigg to shell out the money to have it repaired by a local place I know. It's most likely I fucked something up and it's beyond my repair.

is it a usb 2 device going into a 3..o port? if so then it still applies, just want to be clear.
When you say it works on other pc you tried it as a bootable and not in windows right?

oh while its fresh on the mind your bios is it a UEFI bios?

If so try these options in bios...

Disable Secure Boot
Enable Legacy Boot
enable CSM
enable USB boot

It's a 2 going into a 2.

Yes, it works on other computers in boot mode.

I'll try this tomorrow. Almost 1am and I've got work, thank you for the suggestions. I believe it is a UEFI

When enabling legacy boot, do not forget to enable legacy ROMS as well or it will load the device but find nothing on it.
