Well Chandra is basically an auto-win if you can get it off, and it's a big expensive card, so I wanted to jam it in there. Had a couple dual lands and lots of card draw so wasn't too hard to do.

Had 5 emblems on one opponent. He had two soul menders from the start, so it took awhile lol

i don't disagre if you can play chandra it's almost a guarnateed win, just splashing a double symbol is very risky. chances are you'll never get to play her unless you're playing alot of colorless lands (ie mountains are essentially colorless). In alot of games you'll see something like swamp mountain and be like "well fuck"


for the record I'd do the same thing at an fnm, just if i were playing at a comp REL event I'd have to consider it. Comp rel=competitive rules enforcement level, stuff like PPTQS/GPs/etc

I just fiddled around with a PS1 emulator.

It's absolutely amazing what programmers can do with these emulators. Games actually look crisp and play at 1080p.


Do you play at those big competitive tournaments?

I have no aspirations of ever going tbh. There's a few guys at my local game store who go to those events, and they are just soooo much better at the game than me that I just can't imagine having any success when everyone is probably as good as they are or better.

I was playing Twisted Metal 2.

If I hadn't just played it on my PS2 a few months ago, I would be interested in seeing how Chrono Cross looks.

I played partway through FF8, but I really didn't care for the battle system, and the story seemed kind of boring. I really hated farming elements.
I should try to finish it though.
