anyone playing this? thoughts? I'm about to go pick it up just to relive some nostalgia

I preordered it the day it became available and beat it in one sitting the night it came out. I'm almost done with platinum trophy. I'm also a huge fan of Resident Evil and especially Resident Evil 2. Had it for N64 but never got to beat it. One of those games I'm glad I got the opportunity to play through. Just a great game. I don't see how anyone could be disappointed with this game.

If I may ask how many hours will it take to get the plat?

i beat leon story in re2 remake
things i didnt like about it
the story was to short
the zombies keep getting back up after 4++ head shots. the lickers are eazier to kill then the damn zombies in this game

I agree with you that they are bullet sponges but it made for more intense exchanges when there were zombies getting up I thought had already been killed. The story was definitely too short.

Regarding the infinite zombies, are the same ammo reservations or are the supplies more abundant given they don’t die ?

Not sure what the issue is people are having tbh... the zombies are as difficult to kill as they've always been. Even playing on the hardest difficulty, I never had a problem with ammo. Don't waste bullets, use your knife when enemies are on the ground and create the most useful ammo for the situation. Enemies are not infinite, not sure where anyone is getting this from. New enemies (usually more difficult ones) respawn at a few different intervals, just like they did in the original. Lickers are nowhere near easier to kill than regular zombies, that's just insane lol.

Let me know if you have any questions, I've played through the game 4 times and unlocked everything and I also beat the extra unlockable missions. I loved every single second of this game and it felt smooth as fuck and looked beautiful. It's as true to the original, while also staying current in the best way possible.

I woulda preferred a biohazard 2 for vr experience tbh
