I bid on an item in a thread. Then had a private message conversation with the seller in which we both agreed that I could purchase the item for 900fg. He asked me to make it 'official' and post my bin in the thread, which bumped the thread and allowed another buyer to offer 1kfg, which the seller then accepted after already agreeing to my 900fg. Is this just bad mannered trading or do I have any right to the item?

It is bad mannered. The guy agreed to your offer in the thread then in pm's and you were agreeing in the thread again. Thats BM as anything for trading.

He is suppose to honor your 900 fg as the bin.

Just to clear things up for OP : the seller can sell his item(s) to whoever he wants. He doesn't need to honor the initial accepted offer if he doesn't want to anymore.
Yes, it is ''bad mannered'', but it's his sale so no rule was broken there.

Yes that's what I assumed. Thank you as well.

Imo if both agreed to price in a pm the item should be yours for said price.irl that would be a contract and hold up in court aswell. But this is jsp and things are extremely classified here and easier to just call bm instead of taking action. As a user does have right to sell to whomever he feels once an agreement is made i believe it should stand.

It was disappointing. But as Kafir stated, no rule was broken here. Bad mannered? Absolutely. Ever trade with this clown again? Absolutely not. Lol he couldn't pay me to take an item from him him. And I can only assume I'm not the only person he's pulled dick move on, so that kind of behaviour will bite him back someday.

Also for the record he, could in fact pay me to take the item haha. Thanks for the help here fellas!! Good luck and have fun!!

It's also bm to negotiate prices via pm to try and get them cheap.
Shame on you but I'm glad you got what you deserved.

Does everyone agree that negotiating via pm is bad mannered? I didn't notice that mentioned elsewhere in the thread. Is HardyTarget right? I try very hard not to be bm in any way, so please advise on this. Thank you.
