There's been a mass shooting in Illinois. Its suspected that an irate worker went on a rampage with a semiautomatic pistol through his company and nearby.

The media seems to be avoiding this story for now. Not sure why it isn't in literally all of the headlines yet.

The headlines now seem to focus on the fact that the gun was owned illegally, which is pretty honest of them.

It might be best if things like these weren't given extra attention. All the media blitz and coverage on these things is just motivate people to do it because of the notoriety when someone becomes detached enough to indiscriminately murder.

Really. I read it nearly minutes after it happened, either on cbc, bbc or Reuters, can't remember which but at that time it was only one confirmed dead.

Edit: also have buddies in Chicago so I can guess those headlines catch my attention more to be fair.
