Played for multiple years but never put time to actually learn anything.

Trying to change that.

Anyone who is a master of the atlas and can maybe help explain the shaper/elder influence how to move the elder and where to move him to. And why my elder moves when I log out and in. Even if I'm not mapping.

whats there to explain ... ?? elder means elder and shaper means shaper ... now u can set a shaper or elder ring on the atlas depends what u wana farm and thats all the hot water there is

elder is so hard man... even with 20k es and 3m dps and face tank i cant do it man ... there are 2 buttons on my mouse and i didint figure out yet what they do but soon i figure those butons out and i will kill him
