No you should have no need to upgrade.
If you buy a cooler you won't need to buy paste they either come with paste on or a small tube.
cooler will run you like 30$ and a tube of paste like 5$.

depends what you do, but dropping about ~40c in temps on idle will be a great start

Nice, they work great. Had one in my old fx 8350 space heater lol. Even overclocked, it kept it relatively cool and was quiet.
