got an laptop from a buddy and i wanna use it as a backup, its a windows 7, not much on it, just a bunch of bloatware and junk. but its super slow for some reason.
how can i wipe this thing and get it back to like new?(as new as a 2012 PC running w7 can be) mind you i dont have the discs.

just wondering if theres a simple fix for this, its a decent laptop and i could probably make use of it, just need it back to factory settings. i tried a system restore but there are no older restore point avail

Honestly i'd just buy oem key on ebay for windows 10 x64 pro, its 5$
then download the ISO from micro$hit, make a USB or DVD and install it.

Its possible that laptop has a hidden partition you can access to factory store.
In which case you Google said laptop and how to factory restore.
Should be holding key or two during the power on phase.

Or

You can use 3rd party software to view key.
But then you need to find an oem disc iso which can be tricky.
