Anyone run into this situation before?

I read online that it’s pretty common and epic doesn’t respond back to these people who lose their accounts to hackers. If that’s true then there goes hundreads of dollars wasted

Do you have the original email? You should be able to password recover

Yeah my acct has been hacked before by some in morroco Africa if you have access to the email you should be able to get it back

yeah my email was actually tampered with too, i couldn't login for a couple days but i just got it back.
hopefully i can get my account back.

for me the person tried to log in my email as well but i get a code sent to me via text anytime someone goes to sign on my email, that is how i was able to get his ip address and location, i'd recommend a 2-factor security for both your email and epic games for minimal risk of being hacked because they will try to hack you again if you simply change the pw, best of luck i feel your pain

starting to think this company does not care

they refunded 2 of my skins with my last 2 refunds and bought 2 ugly ass skins lol, i emailed them and they asked for the recipt code but you can't view them if you've used all your refunds and the hacker used my last 2 refunds so they said they couldn't do anything lol, if you're able to sign back on your account that's honestly the best outcome, if you're still paranoid about it even with 2fa enabaled you leave the epic games launcher up or running in the background to leave you signed in your acct at all time and only 1 person can be signed onto an acct at a time.
/you'd think they'd be more helpful with this topic as it happens to accounts everyday due to faulty servers on their end :/
