Hello! My GTX 1070 causes my system to turn off and reboot when put under load.
It crashes into any game upon load. I've tried Pubg, csgo, furmark, unique heaven, gta 5 and d3.

I have a Corsair HX850w. Works perfectly fine with my GTX 960. Both cards use 1x8pin

Things I've tried

Checking all cables
reseating cpu heat sink
switching ram slots
reinstalling drivers completely with DDU
reinstalling windows
updated drivers
plugging directly into an outlet

testing with another gpu, works fine

I just upgraded to i5-8400 GIGABYTE B360M 8gb ram and a gtx 1070. The system runs fine with my 960 but crashes as early as a second into anything GPU intensive on the 1070

I'm thinking Im going to have to return it to amazon, but I'm trying everything I can before I do that.

The last GPU that did this to me I baked in an oven and it fixed it. in HW monitor the AMPS would spike to like 85 @ 12v which is insane, indicating a hardware issue.

The card I saved was a 7970 and not worth repairing legitimately though, also not my main GPU. If you have any kind of warranty hit up the OEM. If not the card is still worth enough that a repair could be worth it.

/E Before the reflow/ bake fixed it I could also flash the bios to run at basically 50% speeds and way under volt the card to get it to work without crashing but the frame rates were ass.

Screw all of that, haha. Thanks for the advice guys. I'm just going to return it and use my 960 4gb for now.
