I don't have such first world problems but I would imagine you'd find a car you like, get a quote on said car, if both purchase price and insurance make financial sense, sign both and drive away.

Don't buy a vehicle right now.
It's been a month now. Have mommy and daddy put you on their insurance for 6 months then try to get a quote on your own with the car you want. It should be much less at that point because you will have had at least 6 months of prior.

Or if you absolutely need a car, have momor dad Co sign on the title, and put yourself and that vehicle under your parents policy. Then in 6 months you can take their name off the registration and get your own policy.
