Ones that you may not see often but you still speak to regularly and consider them a true friend.

From age 19 or 20 to now (nearly 25) I've gone from about 12 to 4. It's partly to do with seeing less of people and going out less but I also think my criteria for a 'true friend' is more rigid these days.

4 if you include dominate who I talk to on facebook more often than I see anyone but those 3

Two to three is the best number to keep very close to you. That being a level of trust you know they can and will uphold.

Jesus keep three disciples extra close to him and took them with him in his last hours.

10+ easily. close to 20 actually. which most of them i know from since a little kid. its always been a very close neighbourhood. even tho most are getting in the 30s we still get along alot.
