Go for Intel chipset since it's the most friendly
Also webcam, tracpad, wireless card, printer, etc.. all may not work straight out of the box. Even system 76, laptops tailored specifically for linux do not work 100% sometimes you have to trouble shoot or fall back to a previous package version after an update.
Pretty much just go with what you like that's the best part about linux. Once you get a laptop you like just post on the debian forums if your having issues I'm sure they will help.
pretty much everything that does not work straight out of the box has a work around to get it working correctly.
Have you used much linux before? I find Dell to work amazing for what I do, if you have not tried linux before maybe run it in a vm while you pick out a laptop?
