Just bought Player Piano by vannegut. Seems like an interesting read. Having a lot of trouble balancing free time between taking care of my new house, putting time in on my video game consoles, practicing for my pool leagues, and reading books. Other things, such as work and hanging out with my girlfriend aren’t in the equation because they’re constants and hence take priority over the aforementioned activities.

I think my preference for balance is...
Pool
House
Games
Books

But I also feel like that’s now what it should be... hmmmmm...

I too enjoy cooking. I recently was gifted a set of wustoff knives for Christmas from the girlfriend. They’re extremely nice and now I can finally get rid of the farberware shit I’ve had for the past couple of years.

Had a playoff match in pool on Sunday. In practice, I ran a few racks on my teammates, but I think anxiety got the best of me come game time. Felt like I had the yips. Missed a few ball-in-hand shots, accidentally jumped the ball when trying to draw. Just extremely amateur mistakes that were all a result of mental miscues. Played again last night for our 8 ball league, and I went reckless with a B&R which is more how I usually play. Losing effort for the team though.

On the house side of things, our dryer broke so my girlfriend and I are redoing our laundry room. Gonna buy a new washer and dryer because the ones that came with our house are probably the first ever electric washers and dryers ever made. We will also repaint the room and get a new sink. The flooring is fine, but she wants to replace it, so instead of arguing, we’ll dish out the extra $100 for new floors. The room is no bigger than 8x8 or maybe even 6x6. Didn’t even measure anything, which tells you how early in it’s conception this plan is.

I actually do make food about 5-6 times a week (leftovers some nights, carryout maybe once a week)

I put many of my recipes into a google doc so that now I can just use my phone when I cook. Can't share here because it has my name on it, but I could pm it if you want lol. Also skimped on some of the instructions because I already know them, so might not be the best.

I still got those shitty faberware cookie sheets and pans lol. They're flaking. I really need some new ones. It's probably unhealthy to use them tbh.
