Can't say anything sparked my interest in 2018, except Isle of Dogs and Free Solo.

upgrade
a quiet place
game night
peppermint
bohemian rhapsody (still flabbergasted by how much the critics hated this, rami was fucking on point)
creed 2

Those were my picks for 2018. There were others that I enjoyed, but those stood out.

Not a bad list.

I loved Upgrade, thought they did an amazing job with the budget they had.
A Quiet Place started strong, but the plot holes and then action sequence ending, killed it a bit for me.
Game Night was one of the better comedies I've seen in awhile.
I don't get why people liked Peppermint so much, it wasn't terrible, but it was boring to me.
I agree completely on Bohemian and I haven't seen Creed 2 yet, but I loved the first one and I'm sure I'll like the second as well.

2018 wasn't a great year, but here are a few movies I enjoyed.

Annihilation
Black Klansman
Bad Times at the El Royale
I, Tonya
+
Upgrade
Game Night
Bohemian Rhapsody

I also watch a number of movies for kids with my 5-year old and these were my favorites

Paddington 2
Ralph Breaks the Internet
Incredibles 2 (not nearly as good as the first, but entertaining still)

After watching spider man into the spider verse that has to have a place here. Such a great movie, don’t let the fact that it’s animated fool you into thinking’s it’s exclusively for kids
