As topic says, completely new person looking to get into graphic design and video editing etc, which laptop should i go for? Thanks.

P.S any guides and tutorials that would give me a strong foundation to work off of before going to school for such things?

Mac books r over prices unless ur school or ur graphic design professors give student discounts.

For tuts r all over the net just have to search

i think the only way you go mac is if 1) you wanna do consistently more video editing 2)like wasting money on aesthetic

Try it out on your current computer before you go and buy expensive equipment.

I've been wondering about where to start too other than going ham on Lynda.com type sites and looking at tutorials.

What worked for me. I had a deadline, I had only 2 days left, the original designer poofed from Earth, so I realized I need to redesign the draft and finish it.

The most important in my humble opinion, how could you manage, move etc your layers, how can you align them. How to do some easy cut with different items.

When you did this you'll already know a lot about all of the menus.



This was the project, what I had to solve in 48 hrs including learning how to use PS. Actually, it worked pretty well, we have used it in several countries. I think it got copied more than 40 000 times SUM.

It wasn't that hard after all, the worst was to create the main frame. Will it fit? My colleagues couldn't understand I can't show more info. Why? We need stadium names. No, you don't, it's already more than full.

After I had the layout It was a piece of cake. Too bad in my previous job I had my own designer team. Now If I had any compelling idea, I need to do that because the internal graphics team needs 4 weeks before. It's hilarious.. In the next month, I'll start a graph how to section in my homepage, if you are interested lmk.
