Saw the headlines, normal fare for clickbait. Watched the CBS evening news, they framed the story 100% on ICE and simply did not mention the girl had no food/water for days prior or that the dad did not say she was sick until 7 hours after being detained or that it was septic shock. The live evening news just said she died in ICE custody of dehydration
These are the same people who want to curate and police all social media and advertising for 'fake news'

Enabling people to embark on dangerous journeys because you want to feel good about yourself and tell your hipster friends what a hero you are doesn't actually help those poor people. It's part of the reason why they go through tens of miles of desert, because they heard of people leaving jugs of water. So what happens is children are dragged through perilous terrain on hope. I wonder if that family embarked on that journey because they knew they might find jugs of water somewhere. I wonder if they knew for a fact that there was no water, maybe they would be more cautious and think of their actions?
