It’s also been suggested before... I wouldn’t be opposed to it at all, seems like a great QoL suggestion.

The logical thing to do would be to get the highest one from a char. A has 20 Fishing, B has 8, scrap prof B and all have A, and so on for every skill.

Then my answer is still NO... I play all my characters individually, this way they earn their skills on their own.

If this was implemented by Paul, I hope he does not make it apply to weapons and charms.

Well wouldn't it be good, to be able to skill from any character at any moment?
While you're in a mule, while you're waiting for a climb, while soloing and you find an item that suits your taste?

I know you'd love it & so do i, so lets vote for it to happen!

I voted yes, I feel the skilling prof should be account wide (keeping SC/HC separated of course). This would also help when trying to transfer and stack fish/essences on other chars that do not have the same skill level to be able to handle those larger stacks. I feel this could be easily implemented. That would I feel also help HC out a lot and possibly maybe increase activity on that core.

voted yes.

To clarify how it would actually work though:
1. Skilling on non "highest" char gives 0 proficiency, only skilling on the highest char gains proficiency.
or
2. Have a "dummy" character (that makes sense to programmers) where when skilling, it would check the dummy characters current proficiency level and base it on that and proficiency growth applies to dummy character and thefore entire account.

Sometimes worth thinking not only good ideas, but how to implement them ^^. 1. might actually be harder to program as it needs to check all characters.

There seems to be agreement that you take highest chars proficiency and all others are as if they are 0. Whilst there will be a few butthurt people whom have multiple chars decent in fishing or something, it's the only way which makes logical sense to implement though.
