We currently don't have the option to mute 2 items together,
What i propose is that when muting 2 Items (Not Item+Essence) of the same Magic Level we have a chance of getting a item of a higher Magic Level.

Ex: when muting a Magical Staff and Magical Heal we get a chance of getting a Rare Staff.

Chance should be around the same as for when an item drops a Magical Level from doing Item+essence of the same Magical Level.

I also propose that if you mute something below your minimum that you still get at least a little bit of prof so it's still worth it. At the moment if you skill anything below your level you get 0 prof. It feels like a big waste for transmuting and glyphing because the time to do it is still virtually the same but you get nothing out of it prof wise anymore.

Yup that way some of the items we no longer use would server some purpose, although the chance is like minimum to upgrade a Magical Level but its still there, and you roll the item anyway.

Don't know much about Muting, but wouldn't this negate essences?
Could I assume that all muters would just mute 2x Angelics items (no essence need) to have a chance to get Mythical?
With the added increase of dropped items, this would make it a lot easier for muters?

If so, I understand the point of it, but I think it is overpowered, so vote is no.

Would Vote no because as someone else stated this completely removes the need for essences.

If you're suggesting we remove essences entirely then i'll vote beer because this does not impact me anyway as i cba to mute thousands of items to get the muting exp needed to do anything useful.
In some sense you're suggesting halving the work needed to reroll something

What about this compromise

Magic item + Magic item = rare essence

So, it would take the total number of stats combined and roll an essence to equal the number of stats. Obviously would be capped at the maximum number of stats.

This way, you can get better essences, but you would still have to find the items.

Catch, after an essence is made, you cannot combine essences, just items as a way to hopefully prevent too many items flooding the market.
