Two years in right now im currently saving for bags and looking into a good drivetrain/engine for 250-400 hp power output.
currently setup for grip spec grip track with 185 tire / wheel class. ;)

I never heard of "grip spec grip track" What's that? What's done to it? It looks stock wit ha roll cage. 250-400 horsepower is a big difference in power.

im aware , i know the car would be good after 250hp and be a lot of fun and ive been in one that made 450hp and i dont really want much more hp then that. so thats my rage of what i want, for "grip" im talking spec for tire sizes on what it races. you can put 365's and grip on nearly anything if you mod it but to grip on 185, 165, 205's is something different.

Essentially regulated tire sizes per wheel to wheel track.

365's is overkill for 99% of cars. From my experience racing anything over a 225 on a NA Miati would be overkill. You could easily get away with a 205. More tire doesn't always mean more grip. Gripping on a rwd car with no more than 400hp could be done on a fairly small tire, that's not a lot of power. Especially since you're not looking for straight line speed, you'll have even less of an issue.

the way you're wording it makes it sound like gibberish. So you want to track it with 450 hp? You'll definitely have to run at minimum 245 rcomps, or if you roll/pull your fenders use 275 hoosiers with the right offset wheels

275s is crazy for a Miata with only 400 or so horsepower. One of the best tracked Miata's is over 400hp and only on 225. Wider isn't always better. Especially if the car is set up properly there's no need for that much over kill.

the racing i enjoy isint based on hp or weight its based on tire size so most of the cars are really equal to each other. if i can get the hp up to about 250 then i would probably go to the 205-235 tire class so i could keep the balance. currently on 3p wheels and have them so i can rebuild at any time in my project so i can swap tire sizes around. this build is for a vary specific race in my aria.

You don’t seem to understand a lot about setting up a car properly. No race is based off tire size. There’s 10 factors more important than that. You seem to no focusing too much on the size of your tire.
