Basically my rig should be strong enough to be playing blackdesert online and watch a stream on twitch or play heartstone on my 2nd monitor
altough most of the times, not always. When i open op twitch or whatever, my fps will drop from 75 to like 60-70 range and its not smooth at all anymore. Sometimes this is not happening it is like it happens in waves of days.

I am using msi and rivatuner and its not that my cpu or gpu skyrocket to 100%

It is kinda hard for me to explain more clearly since i don't have a lot of knowledge about all this

from what I can see here, these stats dont change to much when I open up chrome or hearthstone or whatever.
the only concern I have is that my ram is mostly stable around 6000, I have 16 GB, is it cause this is somehow capped?

Hope anyone can help me out. If you need more info DM or post here.

Thanks in advance.

I've got an intel i7-6700 3.40 GHz
Intel 1080
16GB RAM

Make sure you have full screen enabled. If you don't, it can get wonky and it will synchronize both screens to the lower refresh rate.

my 2nd screen is indeed 60fps, and when i went fullscreen it got to 75hz. It helped for now, but im scared tomrrow or the day after I will get the same random things in fullscreen aswell.
now for example when I had borderless it even went to 30 fps capped for some reason. Everytime something else is what makes it so weird.

Good to know about the synchronization tho.

Would it still do it if there isn't anything playing back on the second monitor?

If my chrome is open and i just minimalize it, it goes back to 75hz aswell so its still running but its minimalized, not sure if it makes it go to screen 1 tho.

This used to happen to me as well

when i had a 4690K

then i bought an 8700K

doesnt rlly happen anymore.

When I was on the 4690K the trick was to set the twitch stream to 240p or have it minimized if i just want the audio

my rig should be able to handle it easily, if I watch the status of my cpu gpu ram, it should easily be managable, Why do I need see an increase in their usage? and why is it running slower, feels to me like is not using its full potential

yeah it was same thing for me, idk why. never really found solution to it other than lowering twitch quality

for some reason the 8700K can hang tho, maybe something to do with the cpu cache or RAM speed?
