We’re upgrading my brothers rig from like 2014

He mainly wants to run games on max settings like Blackout, League, Pubg, etc

His current one can’t run Blackout at barely low settings and he’s got a 4790k and a 970

This is what we’ve put together.

8700k
H115i Pro
Asus Prime z370-A
Vengeance LPX ddr4-3000 16gb

And then a m2/hdd

Currently it’s a little over $900 which we weren’t planning on spending but if it must be then yeah.

Edit: he will be buying his gpu himself.

2700x will destroy 8700k in blackout.

I’ve built AMD once and it was a huge let down but that was forever ago. Is it a lot better now?

Lmao I have no idea, I know he’s not on 4k

Also if he’s not planning on overclocking will the cooler that comes with the 2700x suffice?

If you're not willing to overclock, you're dumb and leaving free performance on the table.
