Hi,

for personal enjoyment I want to write a little python program that calculates the probability of runes from different monsters and also answers questions like "how often do I have to kill monster X (in the mean) that I have at least a 1% (or other number) chance of getting a certain rune".

I know how the drop system works with this Runes 17 TC. But there are some problems.

1. Some data are NOT consistent. Take for example
https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php?title=Act_5_(H)_Good

In this case Runes 17 has a probability of 17 / (7+29+33+31+31+35+27) which is roughly 13%. Great.

According to this https://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/7yq3q7/diablo_2_comprehensive_guide_to_high_rune_drop/ has a chance of 14 / 130 which is about 10%.

Where can I find reliable sources?

2. I do not know Players X setting affects the chance of 'no drop' I need exact data for this. Where can I find this?

Thanks for any help.

well according to the pythagorean theorem A2 + B2 = C2 so the odds of a find a hr are roughly 0.2% but you also have to account for the theory of relativity, oh and lest you forget steven hawkings work on blackholes. accounting for all that idk if hrs even exist.

good luck
