Where is the community?

I really just want to know in advance so I know who to ask when I have what I need, and well obv that'll be about a month after reset...

I could'nt find a recent guide about ip farming/camping, I'm pretty sure that b.net server management changed over the last decade. How many games can you camp on one IP on ladder now? How many sojs do you need to have before you can ask to join a group?

Tru that. I'm back after a 7 year hiatus. Same questins. Where are the hunter groups communicatin now? is mIRC still active?

The clone hunting community has been dead for a few years now. There are smaller private groups that still exist and work to maximize their own profit but good luck joining them. The mIRC channel has a small fraction of the traffic it used to.



This forum and the mIRC channel are probably still your best bet if you want to coordinate with fellow clone hunters. Start saving FG to buy some. Market prices are dropping, as they always do, and will eventually find a bottom. When the market bottoms out, start buying/hoarding sojs.



You're correct. Spring 2017 ladder reset, I was able to sell non ladder sojs to spawn ladder clone. 2 weeks later, blizzard made it so that ladder and non-ladder games are now hosted on separate servers. We can no longer sell non-ladder sojs to spawn ladder clone. This has driven up the price of ladder anni quite a bit.



How many games? You can't have more than 8 connections to b.net from a single IP. In all the walks I've been a part of, I've never seen more than 30 or 40 games on a single server at one time.

How many sojs to join? Well, that depends on the group and number of members. Ideally, whatever group you join will have the max requirement (120 sojs) combined between all members, to ensure the clone walks. If the group has 10 members, including you, then you better have 12 sojs



I was very active in the mIRC back in 2011-2012 and it was awesome. I came back last year and I was sad to see maybe 1-3 people at any given time. This jsp forum is probably your best bet to find other hunters

When I go to bed or leave for work I load all 8 accounts onto different servers and just run them against the wall in A2, that nets me maybe 3 annies per ladder, between the disconnects and strike outs, that's a pretty good return.

Is there a reason you do a2 instead of a1?

Can run all the toons against the wall close to the stash, keeping them active, I've had games not get disconnected for days. A few ladders ago, I came home after two days at my parents place to 2 different clones.

you can do same in act 1 when you stuck your toon at the fireplace running towards stash

I've never been able to pull that one off.
