Actually I am following the path of Leonardo and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (you will remember the book Faust where a person makes a deal with the lord of hell Mephisto) , they both studied a variety of fields for their source of power.
So I was looking to take courses from Comp programming.

Anyways, dropped the course again, might try to enrol in January by which time the landscaping season will be over.

You dont need any diploma's to work in IT.

Its a myth. All you need it experience, either in a job, or voluntary work or private projects you put on a website i cant mention here for your potential employer to see.

I'm a programmer without any diploma's at all. Its possible, just show what you know.

I am going the self taught route, i was checking out job listings in Washington state & most of them want 1-5 years of field experience. Figured from a company viewpoint hiring someone without a degree that took the time to learn on his own & worked his way up from a smaller company with field experience might actually be beneficial.

If you can get an interview set up and display talents better than people going to school and show you are passionate about the field anything if possible

One way isn't better than another. A portfolio is more important than anything. Most students start working on their portfolio junior year (earlier if you didn't come from 0 experience). Some people prefer school and some prefer self-taught. But you don't get brownie points for being self-taught.
