Hey, so I am finishing a B.A. in Business and Society this April. I will be 28 and looking for work...I am wondering if I should come back later and do a computer programming diploma in 1 or 2 years. I would still be able to do a graduate diploma, at the moment a masters in environmental studies doesn't seem like a good idea/neither does law school as I am not capable of being an effective worker all day... Ok let me know. My friend who is 50 or 60 is a technical support analyst, most of the jobs in my area are call center type gigs. There is a big tech industry here.. Ok let me know.

So are you gonna be working a call center job or writing code?

If you have a vast understanding in a language I think a 2 year degree is a waste of money and time.

Apply for a job programming if that's what you wanna do, it's great money.

If it's only 1-2 years do the Computer Science Programming.

Good money in writing code, especially if you are creative.

are you enrolled in some long term program or taking a random class?

if you've never programmed before, i highly recommend looking at the outline and learning it before you actually take the class.

I'm finishing a degree this April. I took a similar course "computer science" 10 years ago, but was a lucklustre student back then. I can knock off courses slowly, when I start working, theres no prereqs to that course.

I picked the course from the first post I made.

I will rely on rote learning.
