The fuck? You reading some Tom's Hardware BS???

Literally and XFX would have been WAY better, like we're talking 50% more performance for the same price. Your loss.

Nope just reading Newegg reviews on the specific models and looked at noise specs.

I couldn't find a RX 570 for $130, or the cheap models were usually single output for mining purposes (I use dual or tri-screens most of the time).

To hit that price point short of a future sale seems to require buying used. Certainly nothing in the $100 range for 570s like you mentioned, at least from what I saw.

The best I found was the ASRock R7 570 4GB for $150. But I opted to save $20 and have the reduced noise and risk of complications of having only one fan (one of the common gripes with that particular RX 570 is that it's very loud -- a dealbreaker for me).

Black Friday is in 8 days... There were several 570's in the 120-150 range last week, there's always different deals going on.
The excess fan noise is usually because people don't undervolt (AMD has an overkill voltage curve from the factory). Undervolt and set a manual fan curve and it would be more than fine.

I don't really wanna mess with that shit to go from 120 to 125fps in RuneScape. You're of course right the ATI cards are much better value for the performance, but for my needs I think this is a good choice. Eventually I'll probably get a 1070 (or equivalent price point at the time) when I get a VR headset in a year or two.

In a well optimized game, it would be like 120 to 180 fps.

My point is that I don't play any demanding games :P WoW is pretty much the only modern game I play that isn't ultra easy to power
