i was watching a video on how to install windows 10. there was a button to skip activating so you didn't need the product key. so i'm googling around and it sounds like you don't need a key to use windows? it just prevents you from changing your background / lock screen and includes a watermark on the bottom right?

But yeah, you won't be able to use customization settings, and a watermark will show up, but if those don't bother you then you're good to go. Another option on the spending free side is try and google to find an enterprise key. Worked for my friend, he's at over a year no problems with it.
