It just was an amusing way of phrasing the fact that the whole team is underperforming
The benching was warranted and I didn't have a problem with it. The Offense is all beat up and is as stagnant as it could get (except Yeldon, dudes the only guy who shows up on Offense every week). 3 straight weeks with zero points in the first half... Terrible. They had to do something and benching the QB is the easiest way to try and make a point to everybody on the team.
I don't think a whole lot is going to change, but it has to be Kessler's ship now. They can't go back to Bortles, unless it's due to injury. That sends a terrible message if they go right back to the guy they just benched.
They have to ride with Kessler now, no matter how good or bad it continues to get.
