Your build said you were using crafted cb gloves for some reason, not dracs

normally you get OW from drakuls
if you don't use draks you can get ow from crafted belt, or possibly duress or gores

HL is not bad, if you use salvation against meph you need 65ias and HL helps with that.

Conviction is just better

25% Chance of Open Wounds is plenty, even 10% will do.

Just make sure you have it.

Well, it all depends on the play style.
Outside from uber trist it may help.
Paladin that does not depend on pre-buff fade from treachery and do not have 75+ resist all around (also helps vs lower resist).
Also, the inventment of 20~ points (depending on how much + gear you obtain) could be limited.
They may want to invent points into other skills... for... pvm?~

However, I do agree that conviction is better for smite vs uber meph if you intend to just use this character for ubers.

smiter really isnt good for anything else so it would make sense to have it devoted to ubers

Or better yet, hammerdin with 1 into smite & salvation and just have swap gear in stash.
