hasn't much to do with being phys based
as melee u're usually looking for straight forward maps like waterways or racecourse...
wide open maps tend to be more tiring, as u have to get to each pach and leap slam/ whirl alot around, but with decent attack speed, it's not too bad
though i still overall prefer mapdensity and monstercount over layout, but for repetetiv maps you would want to go for easy to run maps layout wise
anyway, there are a lot of possibilities to interact with or shape the atlas
