Why not just DOSBox an XP install on another system, instead of trying to find old hardware?

Honestly look for a used Dell Optiplex. They can sell for under $100, and the integrated graphics are plenty for playing d2.

That's actually what I came to the conclusion myself I found a Pentium 4 box for $20 but a really nice Windows 10 one for $50...I might have to just try it and see how it works even though it's not XP.

For what it's worth, If you have D2 updated to patch 1.14, it runs fine on Windows 10.
/e they've done a lot of patching in the last couple years to improve compatibility for the game on newer systems.
