sorry guys I bother u a lot but ive been trying to fix my internet connection in multiple ways and im frustrated lol.
so I recently bought dlan power adapters (devolo starter kit ones, idk). it promises to be able to provide up to 300 mbits, I got a 400k connection so it should be all good
but somehow I only get 1-3mbps via DLAN connection which is CRAZY low...on WLAN I get about 30mbps ( the router is 3 m far and there is only one wall inbetween). if I stay next to the router with my phone I get about 400mpbs, if I connect my PC to LAN I get 450mbps.
but why is DLAN only giving me such a low connection? isnt that strange?

bad/old electrical lines or wires i'd guess as the devolo power lan adapters easily support your connection speed.

Makes sense we got 2 internet providers and they both give the same amount of mbps
Our house isn’t too old tho we built it in 2000

That shouldn't be having a problem... Old refers to like 75+ years old. My house is old, the insulation on the wires in my house is glorified paper; no rubber or plastic to be found.

honestly, I thought so too. but what could be the problem then? both internet providers only give me 5-8mbps via DLAN but I get more via WLAN

maybe the router is crap? can it even deliver the speed you are paying for? id try a different router from a friend or something. wifi shouldnt be that weak compared to cable. just a little more inconsistent with a few lag spikes but still fast.

its the unity media connect box, the standard one u get for free. its not the best but it isnt the worst too..? and I get 430mpbs per LAN. the router can deliver me the speed per lan.

If it's a supplier box, it's going to be miles worse than buying your own for $100.

Make sure both are plugged directly into an outlet not a surge protector.

Also turning off as many other things using power on the same outlet as possible is ideal.

Kyle from bitwit did testing with this sort of thing. Look up his youtube vid

It can per LAN only! I get 450mbps via LAN. Wifi only 30-40 (1 wall in between), dlan only 5mbps. If I go next to the router and do a Speedtest on my iPhone I get 400+ as well
