-price range , perferrably under 1k, if its a little over thats fine
-useage: need to be able to handle a little gaming, modeling 3d softwares, school stuff..

That's not bad. Just know if you're gaming, you pretty much have to have it plugged in.
Also, you ain't going to be able to buy anything new with Windows 7 on it these days.

it looks a little better than the one mentioned above for around the same price...

the tuf one has bigger ssd, other then that its the same specs pretty much

but i think i would still prefer the rog strix scar
