Out of nowhere my fans just started going full blast. Turned off my PC, turned it back on and I'm getting CPU fan errors.
All my fans are running fine so my only guess is the pump shit the bed. Second AIO to fail on me.

Need some recommendations for a good cpu fan please.
Need to hopefully get one before Friday

What CPU do you have?
How much you looking to spend and what's your use case?
Have you tried listening to the pump to see if its running? Made sure everything is plugged in firmly?

I've been using everything for about 6-7 months. Everything was fine. Yes.

i7 8700k
How much am I willing to spend on a fan? I don't even know what prices are like.. but under $100 I'd imagine?
and yes after about 5 months or so sometimes when turning on the PC the pump would make these insanely loud noises as if the pump was fucking up.
Turned of PC and turned it back on and the pump kicked it and ran fine. Today turned it on and everything was good after about 20mins all my fans went full blast like my PC was about to take off.
I turned off my pc for 5mins. Turned it back on and the fans immediately went back to full power and the corsair logo on the cooler goes red. I can't hear anything happening with the pump. So I'm pretty sure the pump is just fucked.

edit: the case NZXT - S340 Elite
Rest of the shit:
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700k
CPU Cooler: H100i V2
Mobo: Asus Prime x370-A
GPU: Asus GTX 1080

If you get a piece of wood like a dowel rod, about 12" long or more, and touch one end to the pump and the other end to the ear flap in the center of your ear (blue dot), you will be able to hear the pump perfectly, like a stethoscope. If the pump is bad, you'll hear it.

If pump is bad (making a growling noise), then just RMA it.

If you do decide to switch to air cooling... Cryorig H7 or Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO.

100%.
Nervous about going to air cooling. Also hope it'll fit just fine in the case.

They should fit in your case. the tallest one is 6.1 inches, or 155mm for strange people. :)

From the top of the CPU to the left side panel of the case. The Cryorig is shorter and a tad quieter.

Ofc, and AIO will cool better.

Hyper 212 EVO vs. the Corsair H100i

/e You can get a bit more from the Hyper 212 by going push/pull with two fans, like I do.

/e I just checked. Either air cooler will fit in your case. If you decide to go that route. If ya want to stay with AIO, that's fine, just RMA the one you have if the pump is shot.
