2x sundown sa-12's dvc4ohm wired to 1 ohm impedence on a apmi 2000 1ohm mono (kerf ported box)
or 8x rockford fosgate p1s2 12" wired to one ohm on the same 1 ohm amp (wall build ofc)
the sundowns i know will perform without a doub
but the fosgates look better and from what i read have better recovery response after the bass hits
i have a 18" skar zvx right now in a 7cubic ft box with a sexy kerf all stained and poly'd
the bass is there and nice but its very sloppy and im looking for a more full sound in my audio
sundowns will run about 700 with the amp and the fosgates will run about 750
what would you do and whats the quality of rockford? do they hit lows like i know the sundown will? i just want to be sure i make the better choice down the road
Cone area usually wins and i love rockford but i wouldn't wana mess with their entry level stuff.
imo 4 12 SA's ported flat wall they dont need much space at all, or scoop up another skar 18 and do a dual 18 ported wall but definitely design it less than 7 cubes per. Once you build a wall its an eargasm and 150db is easily achievable
