So he should save up for 2k before buying one ( I think hes looking forward black ops 4)

NO, ok im gonna try again..

ofc its personal preference, some of these guys prefer 2k display, but do they play fps games? i dont think so..

for fps games like cod and PUBG u want 1080p 144hz.. NOT 2k 60hz, u do not wanna play these games in 2k unless u have a absolut beast pc

It's to make 2k work, had to cut costs somewhere.
Also for fps games, doesn't have much impact on in game perfomance as long as you have sufficient ram.
I agree that 1080p high refresh rate would be better for CoD tho.

well a 250gb sdd is about same price, and enough storage for cod+pubg+more

i wont recommend pubg in 2k, even if u get the best gpu+cpu+ram

but for cod it might be a different story actully, i dont think its that demanding in 2k compared to pubg
and i played the blackout beta which was capped at 90fps (LOL) if they keep it that way u might aswell up the resolution/graphics

but in general i recommend fps/hz over resolution/graphics for fps games, for smoother gameplay

If I had to choose between replacing a cheap monitor or gpu I'd opt for the cheapest one as to save money and that would be a monitor.

Idk how many times I've watched people spot shit before me solely cause they could see shit I couldn't at 2k let alone 4k.
Theres a reason I run trip 1080p for fps games its so i can spot targets faster.

If anything more fps is ideal for cod and bf as they are faster pace games.
Then again I'm a pleb at 2k rating in pubg so wtf do I know.
60fps has always been enough, I'm not saying 144 isn't better but I'll take resolution over higher fps all day everyday.

With that being said buy a good gpu now before prices skyrocket.
If ur buds serious though get a 1080ti used now while u can.
And buy a single 2k 144hz monitor later.

I guess idk new CoD size, but WW2 took up like 120GB or something crazy like that. PUBG is also like 70.
