probably the heatsink's surface wasn't flat. I heard you can use sandpaper to smooth it out. meh too late now.

62C is the max. core temp for these CPUs.
/e ...and 72C is the max. package temp.

u should be able to OC that chip to 4.3-4.5
that's a good mobo to OC with too.
