If the actual router turns off, might have fried the board inside.

was your pc plugged in at the time?
laptop? desktop? is it surge protected?
reset router?

idk but can rule out software easily by formatting it.

unpluig router for 30 seconds replug it in.

when connecting to router, watch the lights on it, does it appear to reset when you try to connect via wifi?

If neither resolves it your nic is probably fried.
