Every time you create a new game you will be on a different server.

/e You can't DO anything to give yourself a lower D2 ping. If on speed tests you have a decent ping, then that pretty much eliminates all the things you have control over as far as D2 goes.

I should say that there is nothing I remember that can be done. I would check blizzard tech support forums for: Diablo II - high latency

ping is their server side I'm pretty sure and ur distance from it. I live in Canada too and my ping is generally 100 - 150 in d2. sucks cause it's a great game but so old that they likely won't be changing it at any time.

He could try to VPN through a server near the D2 server location. The combined ping might still be lower than the 150 from the direct connection.
