I usually put all my starting points into vit. Then if group climbing vit till 45 then just even out your offensive stats with w.e gear your using. Ie if u have dex charms throw it in str if str charms throw it in dex.
If solo start the same but once you got around 2k life start going offensive.

Base Vita 100 (Hardcore) then rest into strength (if using Strength ratio weapons) or dexterity (if using Dexterity ratio weapons)
Base Vita 075 (Softcore) then rest ... as above

Even in a group or solo, those stats will help out, in a group, you will most likely be asked to be tanker, if solo, you can regen in town or shrine and take damage to help kill off monsters faster.

I just started playing and didn't ask many questions, went solo using the guides stickied... those are like 10 years old ignore all or at least most of em. Ask questions via pm or posts like this

Vita is super awesome because it = life and defense, you can make up stats on charm, because only hard points into vita count towards life, vita stat in a charm just adds defense no life.

Another thing I found super helpful (keep in mind I'm new and only solo and melee so far) was when I started to need to town to regen, spend like 1-3fg per piece on a regen set, base is 10per click, you can make that to 30 with 3x 7hp regen items= 3x faster to get back into the catas. And pick up fucking EVERYTHING magical or better and when inv full, town and shrine that shit vs leaving it on ground = longer without regen in catas

Every 25 points to vitality or intelligence adds +1 to regen (this also applies vita/int items)... so, if you want faster regen... you always look for regen gear that has vita or int (dependent on character class you are using of course)

EDIT: these are the little things people don't think about either.

There really isn't one.

As a feeder class 99% of them would go with either Fighter or Barbarian, they would also go with collecting swords (since these can be used by the next two(2) unlocked characters)

Basically Warlock is the best as caster/healer, then Headhunter is best melee/tanker in game... but you have to unlock those.
