I was once told a story of a man and a butterfly
The man saw the butterfly trying to break out of his cocoon, and being the nice guy he was he opened the cocoon for the butterfly
Unfortunately, the stress mother nature intended for this butterfly to go through was not met, thus the fluids designed to spread to the tips of it's wings never did, and the butterfly never flew an inch.
There is also a story about a dead butterfly and a spruce tree.
Once upon a time, a highly stressed butterfly died trying to flee its cocoon too early (some believe mankind was behind this misadventure).
As it’s dead body began to rot and decay, it created extra fertilizer which allowed a tiny spruce to be born and grow.
