Whether you hunt or roll, it's totally random, luck based. 99% of them are bot found. People running bots all day doing the work for them because they're too lazy to play for themselves, or they don't really enjoy the game. Your best bet is to widen the item range and use other types of socketed shields instead. You don't HAVE to use a jmod.

I'm certain I've identified over 100 magic monarchs in my D2 time, and never even gotten the jeweler's modifier.

Or ppl that only pvp and don't want to waste time mfing for shit gear that won't sell, so they can't afford to build a real char.

The chance for an unid monarch to be jmod is 0.0065265 %.

That is 1 in 15322.

How about enjoying the pvp scene without top-end gear?
