he changed the memory cuz it's cheaper and slightly better timings, the h100i is an all in one liquid type cooling, looks better etc. Though, if u wanna stay air cooled, u might as well get the cryorig instead of the outdated 212, they're still decent for $20 but u dont have budget issues at 1.5k
the mobo you picked is good but it's too costly and there's not much gains for spending that much. Get the evga z370 ftw, it's a great price atm, it's slightly a tier above asus -a board.

But ignore my link in #2. Since the DVD-W is kinda obsolete by now. I couldn't pick the Phanteks Eclipse P300 because it doesn't support a 5.25" bay.
Also the 1080ti is a nice leap from the 1070ti.

Just so you know, Nvidia is probably announcing the next line-up of gaming cards in 3 days. (it's been over 2 years since the current generation/pascal got released)

Almost 3x the cores, 2x better gfx card, and a better case. Installing from USB is easy. The windows media creation tool does all the work for you. It's literally just download it, install on usb, reboot from that usb, and it walks you right through the whole thing.

/e or go 8700k with a z370 mobo if you must, but AMD will save you almost $100 when you factor in that it has a good CPU cooler from the factory.

Because new shit it just a refresh for more $$. Neither the new Intel CPU's or Nvidia GPU's are going to be a significant upgrade. If you're expecting a Maxwell > Pascal level jump, you're going to be thoroughly disappointed.
