Whatever, I've said all I'm going to say about the ending in the other thread, others have also chimed in. If you decide to have actual thoughts on the situation other than just saying it is bad let me know. Otherwise.... You aren't really worth communicating with.

Sorry but who cares about metric or rotten tomatos lol they always suck at rating. You follow google user votes whick ready player one has 92%.

P.s my new favorite movie of 2018 is Upgrade. I still have asked many people about ready player one. Only a few really weird people did not like it.

Not a single person I know irl, with the exception of my father (who's super easily entertained), has thought it was better than okay, with most of them thinking it was trash. Myself and others went over sooooo many reasons why it was a bad-meh movie in the other thread. Did you even look? Did you notice how every single person defending that pos went first with the, "you just need to belief and not let horrible plot points, acting, and overall stupidity ruin it for you", followed with "you're angry, so you're wrong.", when no one was ever angry lol.

You can keep lying to yourself all you want, but it's about a 50/50 split for people here who thought it sucked.

Easier to aknowlege the movie as trash if you separate the concept from the delivery.

Yes, a world with something similar to the "oasis" would be fucking cool. Hardly anyone would dispute that. But this film didn't do well at all in exploiting the idea. Was meh.

The idea itself isn't exactly ground-breaking or original. Sword art online, a mediocre anime did it much better.

I liked it, but I also don't go into movies with high expectations. People with high expectations are always let down, I personally enjoyed the movie a lot, although it was not one of my favorite movies. I did not like 2017-2018 for movies but I feel people are shitting on a few only because they expected way to much, I don't know people have always liked to shit on good things. Jurassic Park and Ready Player one were both fun movies to watch, people can say whatever they want about them. Fact is many people also love them.

When it comes to 2017-2018 yes Ready Player One is in the top 5 and I bet one day most of you change your minds about it. People are weird they change their opinions on shit all the time.

Expecting a multi-million dollar movie to have a competently written script = "high expectations"?

I don't care if I hate or love a movie, if it doesn't have competent writing then it's fucking trash.

I gotta be honest. All this talk about the movie, think I am going to watch it again. Hell it is more entertaining then most, so why not.
